New And Improved Photo Galleries Offer Numerous Upgrades

We spent the weekend implementing a completely new version of the WakeORIGIN Photo Galleries to make browsing wakeboarding related pictures easier for our readers. Many aspects look similar, but underneath is a new engine to make viewing the galleries faster and more convenience. We also added some new features to the mix, including the most requested upgrade, high-resolution images.

Here are the major improvements we made:

  • High Resolution Images: We now offer the option to view the high resolution version of each image where it’s available.
  • Paginated Browsing: Instead of loading all of the galleries at once, now only 10 are loaded at a time. That means the page loads a lot faster so you can start looking at wakeboarding pictures sooner.
  • Better Navigation: New navigation makes it easier to browse through the photos in an album in order.
  • Related Post Link: If the gallery you’re viewing is related to a specific post on the site, a link will appear in the top right corner so you can get all of the information about content the of the gallery.

Start browsing through the new WakeORIGIN.com Photo Galleries now, and let us know what you think.

Supra’s Brand New 2009 Launch 21V Wakeboard Boat Gets Detailed

Posted on September 27th, 2008 by | posted in Boats, General, Media

Supra has rolled out their 2009 product line and in addition to some tweaks (mostly minor), they’ve added a new model for the new year. The Launch 21V fills the space between the 20V and the 22V nicely, and at 21′ 4″ long and 99″, it packs a lot of interior space.

Supra has also made a handful of incremental upgrades to all of the boats in their line-up for ’09, including:

  • Lower dash for more visibility which includes Zero Off compatible
  • Electric adjustable multisport trimtab wakeplate
  • Titan Spinner board racks
  • New ballast pumps with automatic shutoffs
  • New Gravity Games package
  • New Worlds Package
Additional, the Launch 20, Supra’s last remaining direct drive model has been dropped for ’09, making Supra the first major manufacturer to transition completely to a wakeboard/multi-sport focus.

2009 Malibu Boats Website About to Be Unveiled?

2009 Malibu Boats Website Coming Soon

Imagine our surprise when we tried to check out the Malibu Boats website this morning and were greeted with the error page shown above. Sure, it could just be a configuration problem with Malibu’s server, but our bet is that they’re in the process of rolling out their new website for 2009.

The ’09 version of their web marketing tool has been delayed some what, with 2009 model year boats already being delivered to customers. We’ve heard that the new website will be a complete overhaul, not only in terms of looks, but also in the “engine” that drives the website. A fix for the buggy iSpec boat configuration tool is part of the reason for the big change that has led to a delay in the launch.

Stay tuned for Malibu’s new 2009 website, coming soon.

We’re Back; Sorry For The Interruption

You may have noticed that the site was down momentarily this morning due to some issues with the database. The problem actually stemmed from a spike in traffic that overloaded our server. While that’s a good problem to have, it’s always a pain when WakeORIGIN goes down.

The site is back up though, and we’ve got more of the latest in wakeboard news and information coming your way. We’re worry for the inconvenience, and thanks for your patience.
