It may have taken them a little while, but Epic is finally delivering boats to their dealers, which means we’re going to start to see more and more of them on the water (which is a good thing). As if simply stating that 4,000lbs. is the capacity of the ballast system on this wakeboard specific machine, some pictures like the one below that showcase what this machine is capable of are finally starting to leak out.

The above shot was snapped by Steven Hahn, and thanks to some creative back-lighting you can really make out the size, and thickness of the 23V’s wake. We’re not entirely sure anyone needs a wake that big, and surely a few sets behind this boat can do some serious damage to the shoreline (not to mention the riders ACL’s), but in today’s market, where bigger is better, Epic certainly has a leg up on all the other manufacturers when it comes to ballast capacity.
So what do you think, is Epic going to revolutionize the wakeboard boat industry? Should the top manufacturers in the industry follow their lead when it comes to ballast capacity?

I would love to get a chance to throw down behind one of these! Anyone gotten a real chance to ride behind an Epic yet?

Unfortunately there aren’t many Epic’s out there, mainly because they were never able to workout a solid production plan. They’re around though, so check with your local dealers to see if anyone carries them.
Thanks for the comment.

We personally sell Epics, i have had Natique, Supra, MasterCarft and many other boats. I can tell you nothing compares to the Epic. We are in north Carolina but we deliver all over USA . The wake is a monster and the ride is unbelievalbe. Call my son Sean if you need any information on an Epic he has wakeboarded behind natiques for several years now and since i recieved my Epic he has been amazed

I got to ride behind one of these things earlier this month. All I can say is I want one! The wake was amazing. I had to ask that the own not fill the ballast up past 3/4. Any bigger and I think I would have hurt myself.
