Last year Skylon Introduced a new option for their wakeboard racks called the Aftershock. It featured a pnuematic strut to help spin the rack into the boat for easier access. Unfortunately there weren’t able to actually build the rack they showed in pictures, so the production version replaced the sleek quick release with a hand knob that had to be painfully threaded into place each time the rack was used.
Enter the picture seen above, which appears to be a production ready sample of a new Rack from Skylon shown on Centurion’s Evolution Tower. This new rack features a black powder coated finish, and a new fork design to better protect your wakeboards. Finally, the second generation Aftershock looks to have the quick release handle for rotating the rack that was left out of the original design.
This should be a welcome update to this unique product that many wakeboard boat owners have been waiting for.

This new look is great. Skylon will couple a new black wakeboard rack backing plate with the black aftershock. The disappointment of last years crude aftershock will soon be forgotten with the new easier to use 2007 version. The Centurion Evolution tower is a target of many after market accessory manufacturers. More new products coming soon.
