Company Wake Officially Announces Remote WakeSkates

Just as we suspected, Company Wake has pulled the wraps off their new wakeskate division. Also expected was the news that Silas Thurman will head things up for the new company. What we didn't expect however is their decision to introduce a new brand, Remote Wakeskates, rather than stick with the Company name. Supra Boats Pulls the Wraps Off Their 2009 Website

Spin a Ten and Win At The 2008 Tigé Pro-Am

The 2008 Tige Pro-Am is just around the corner, and Tigé is upping the ante in an effort to draw some more attention to the inaugural event. With the number of riders that have landed a 1080 in practice closing in on a half a dozen, Tigé has put $10,080 on the line for the first rider to land three spins at the Tigé Pro-Am. The potential for a five digit payday for an amateur rider that can pull of The Ten is huge. Sure, the likelihood that a local rider will land the elusive 1080 is small. It's much more realistic to expect a Danny Harf or Rusty Malinoski to walk away with the big check, but even then, that's quite a bonus for an afternoon of work. If you're in the Pacific Northwest, make plans to check out the Tigé Pro-Am at Blue Lake Park in Portland Oregon. It's a great venue that was cut from the pro wakeboard tour this season for no apparent reason, and is a great place to watch a wakeboarding event. Check out the full press release after the break.

Correct Craft Partners With PCM On “Green” Engines

Correct Craft and their longtime power partner, Pleasurecraft Marine Engines, have teamed up to bring catalyzed marine engines to the Nautique line for 2008. Although their claims of a "green" marine engine seem slightly contradictory to us, there's no denying that the current crop of catalyzed marine engines are much better for the environment than their predecessors. Like Indmar's ETX/CAT introduced last year, PCM's new Catanium system combines the exhaust manifold with a solid-state catalyst that promotes the combustion of harmful components in the engines exhaust. These systems are very similar to those that have been installed in our cars for the last 20 years, with the necessary advancements to be used in the marine setting. In addition to the cleaner emissions, PCM's new line of Catanium equipped engines also features better fuel economy and enhanced power thanks to the more advanced engine control modules required by the exhaust catalyst system. Overall, it's a win-win for everyone, the water we like to play in will be a little cleaner, and we'll save money by using less gas while wakeboarding. More Hyperlite MAREK Wakeboard Details Surface

It looks like Alliance Wake scored some new intel, in addition to what we brought you last week, on Rusty Malinoski's new Hyperlite MAREK pro-model wakeboard. In addition to some more specs, they've also scooped the first look at the wakeboards official graphics, in addition to the source behind the MAREK (apparently all caps is the official way of writing it) name. Here's the reader's digest version of what we know so far:

The MAREK is a bigger board, being offered in 136cm, 141cm and 146cm sizes.
With a fully machined NOVA core, the MAREK will be part of the D.I.N.E. line.
Designed for an aggressive rider that doesn't mind a little extra weight
Named after Rusty's first-born son, Merek Jaxon Malinoski.

This year, on April 26th, dealers across the country will have 2008 model Malibu boats available to drive, ride, ski and explore. If you're in the market for a new boat, and Malibu is on your list, this is a great opportunity to compare Malibu's most popular models on the water to determine which one is best for you. Many dealers throughout the nation are participating, so there's a good chance one near you will have boats on the water and ready for you to experience first hand. Queen of Wake Series Looks to Crown Female Royalty

After years of watching the men go at it for the top spot on the Kind of Wake Series, in 2008 we'll finally see a woman take the throne. Consisting of nine events, the Queen of Wake Series will pit the top women wakeboarders against each other to crown a champion. With $10,000 on the line for the series champion, you can be sure we will see the best that female wakeboarding has to offer. It's been a long time since the women have had a series to call their own, and the reception among the industry's top riders has been incredibly positive. Board Up Miami Wakeboard Event Set For April 12-13

Board Up Miami is back for another year and it's happening April 12-13, so get ready for South Florida's premier watersports event.
