Cancer Freeze is a fundraising event held at Lake Jackson in Florala, Alabama on the 1st Saturday in February. Donors pay a minimum donation of $20.00 to waterski, tube, kneeboard, or wakeboard, or barefoot (yes, we have one). The water temperature is usually 52 to 54 degrees and the outside temperature is near that as well.
This year’s event will directly benefit Julie-Layton Bryan, the 5 year old daughter of Brad and Stephanie Bryan of Florala. She has recently been diagnosed with retinoblastoma in her left eye and is currently undergoing treatment in New York.
