Billet WS420 Malibu Remote Panel

Thanks to the resourcefulness of one forum member, a group of Malibu owners over at TheMalibuCrew.com have come up with a custom billet aluminum remote mount that includes a specific slot for Wet Sound’s new WS420 EQ.  Designed to replace the factory remote bracket, the custom designed mount holds the factory Sony XM-RM55 remote, along with the aforementioned EQ, and optionally an additional switch like those used on the dash.

While this modification is specific to Malibus it shows what some creative thinking can accomplish.  And thanks to the efforts of forum member liljohn, Malibu owners can have easy access to their Wet Sounds WS420 for on the fly adjustments of the tower speakers, sub and cockpit speakers.

Check out some more pics after the jump.

Hey I know those shoes. Oh wait there mine.. thanks for the right up. It has taken some time and more energy than I care to admit. Although it was worth all of it. There is another version for just the eq that so far has fit in every boat we tried. anyways just wanted to say thanks.

Hey John, I’m glad you found this post, and thanks for taking the time to put up a comment.

I can’t believe how well your project turned out, I hope everyone that got one realizes how much work you put into it. Keep us posted on the EQ only version, is that something you’re producing now, or is it made to order?

John sent me a picture of the universal version that will fit pretty much any boat and holds just the WS420 EQ. It looks great, and would be the perfect way to install Wet Sounds new EQ out of the way, but still achieve factory looking results.
