I just wish the new windshield actually did something to provide some benefit. It doesn't seem any better than the old style.

The new windshield is ugly IMO. The old one was stronger, better looking, and better built. Glad I bought when I did.

I dont like the vented windshield at all. Whats the point? I dont see a need for ventilation when the whole boat is open and its making an unneccessary blindspot. Who cares how small it is, its not needed. The old one looks much cleaner and is more functional. Hopefully theyll change it back. Dont fix it if it isnt broken!

I guess I just don't see the need for it. It would be one thing if the chrome corner posts were a neccessary trade-off to gain some incredible functionality or design improvement, but IMHO opinion there is nothing that warrants that. Even the "frame-less" claim is questionable, there is still clearly a frame, it's just a little more slender than the old one.

I have the "frameless" windshield on our VTX. I asked several times if I could switch the windshield out for the VLX style, but that was not an option, due to hull configuration. The chrome side posts actually look good with our Stainless Titan III. One thing I do like about this design is that the walk through is much wider than our 02' Sunsetter. I am still getting used to it, I really don't have any choice. I still would have rather had the VLX windshield.

The new windscreen has grown on me. I like the frame-less design and I don't think the concerns that the side bars create a blind spot when returning to pick up a downed rider are really warranted if the driver is paying attention.
