What do you get when you combine some wakeboarders from the northwest with a video camera, a wakeboard boat and 3,500 miles of open road to explore? We’re not really sure either, but you can be certain it will make an entertaining wakeboarding movie with some impressive riding thrown in for good measure. That’s the idea behind the Living the Dream Tour, and it’s kicking off soon, so stay tuned for more information.
Living the Dream Tour, is going to be a Video Documentary showing the wake industry the struggles young riders coming up in the game experience. But throw that into the mix and add the fact they are Canadian.
On February 25th 2007, Aaron Rathy, Kevin Henshaw, James Balzer, Dustin O’Ferrall, Matt Bibby, Jono Boysen and Jordan Lavery will be driving down the West Coast of North America with a Wakeboard boat, a truck to tow it, a winch, and 3500 thousand miles to explore.
SBC Wakeboard Canada Magazine, Malibu Wakeboard Boats, Kicker Speakers, O’town Watersports, Performance Watersports and Redbull Energy Drinks are all sponsoring the trip. We want to explore this sport in a way it has never been taken before, but also document the trip and make a revealing film, delving into the life of an up and comer.
Apart from the road trip there will be special appearances by Chad Sharpe and Rusty Malinoski, Nick Ennen and Melissa Marquardt, and lots other shredders we will meet up with on the way.
We want to make a change in this sport, to progress this sport to the next level. We need the industries help, including everyone involved with it, from the Well-known professionals to the kid who just bought his first wakeboard. Lets band together and see where this sport can go?
