Thanks to Ian of OnlyInboards.com, we now have the first shots of a new model from MB Sports. Rumor has it that this model will follow the same design principles as the larger 23′ TomCat model introduced two years ago. Based on the pictures it appears as though the new model will feature smaller forks at the front, which is a welcome change. The original TomCat design on the 23′ model wasted nearly two feet in length with the protrusions sticking off the front.
Hopefully interior space won’t suffer with the move to a smaller length, and the one image of the wrap around seating error seems to mitigate that concern. The space lost in the forks along would be more than enough to give the 21er space to rival its big brother. It looks like we’re a little while out from seeing a good pre-production model, but hopefully they’ll have this boat out and on the water in time for this summer.
