Supra Wakeboard BoatsSupra is pushing hard to challenge the big three, and with a host of new features that are standard for 2007, they’ve got a legitimate shot at really putting a dent in the sales numbers of their competitors.

(Knoxville, TN) – Supra’s athletic blend of tournament quality wakes and luxuriously appointed interiors that both inspire and comfort riders have been further refined in ’07. Leading the line into 2007 are two new 22-foot, 6-inch models; the Launch 22SSV and the Sunsport 22V.”The 22-foot class of tournament wake board boat is arguably the most competitive segment of our market,” says Rick Tinker, president of Skier’s Choice. “We are confident that our new boats will distinguish themselves accordingly.”

It all starts with the engine. For 2007 all Supras will offer a catalytic converter engine – a 5.7-liter, 340 horsepower model from Indmar. This is the only engine in the marine industry to earn a four-star emission rating meaning toxins are dramatically reduced without compromising power. This engine is standard in the Supra Gravity Games and Limited Edition models.

“The catalytic converter shows our commitment to both the environment and the rider. What’s good for nature is also good for riders because less exhaust fumes mean cleaner air for riders and passengers alike,” adds Tinker.

In 2007, all Launch series boats are equipped with towers, swivel board racks, Gravity III ballast system and are configured with playpen seating in the bow (the 20 series all have bow filler cushions as standard equipment). The Sunsport series now offers an open bow seating configuration in all models.

Supra has historically led the tournament boat segment in offering the longest list of standard features. For 2007 model year, this list is now longer and includes Perfect Pass (standard), SmartPlate (standard), Docking Lights (standard), Digital Gauges by Medallion (standard), Swivel Drivers Chair (standard), Stainless Steel Capped Windshields (standard) and a host of other items.

“Today’s tournament-boat-buyer expectations are greater than ever before. Now with integrated Perfect Pass, exclusive Smart Plate technology, increased capacity in the Gravity III ballast system and, of course, our deepest in category Drop-V Keel, we feel confident that every Supra we make will merit a shopper’s full consideration,” says Michael Littman, Marketing Director for Skier’s Choice.

So what’s the difference between the Supra Launch and the Sunsport? It’s all a matter of taste, says Littman. “Launch boats are defined by playpens, towers, swivel-board racks and the Gravity III ballast system, all as standard equipment. Sunsport models bring walk-thru bow functionality and ‘Step Way’ easy entrance and exit to the Supra line at a lower base price than a comparably sized Launch.”

The Launch series now offers a Limited Edition on 20, 20SSV, 21V, 22SSV, and 24SSV models. Limited editions offer a special solid gel, brick full-boat wrap graphic, tower, upgraded stereo package, two-tone cockpit and tonneau covers, dual batteries, Z Cargo Rack, tower mirror bracket and the Indmar ETX CAT 5.7-liter 340 horsepower EFI engine featuring a catalytic converter for cleaner emissions.

The Gravity Games Edition of the 24SSV has again been updated. This year it features a new black, charcoal and granite gelcoat pattern and includes virtually every option in the Supra line.

“The Limited and Gravity Games editions are not for the meek or mild,” says Littman. “That said, if Ferraris, Porsches and Hummers get your pulse pounding, these two series will surely do the same. Our focus is always on athletic performance. Gravity and Limited editions wrap that athletic performance in a very unique uniform.”
