SOUTH PADRE ISLAND, TX (March 13th ) – It’s one of the hottest spots in America for college Spring Break excitement…it’s where you go to hang out with 200,000 Spring Breakers partying on 34 miles of un-interrupted beach…and it’s where the Texas Wakeboard Tour will be throwing the Spring Break Slam Wakeboard Rail Jam!

The event will feature Liquid Force Pro Team Rider, Kevin Henshaw along with some of Texas top riders including CWB Pro Team Rider, Gabe Lucas, Liquid Force Team riders Tom Fooshee and Joey Bradley, three time Texas Wakeboard Tour Wakeskate Champion, Richie McKee plus top regional competitors including Bret Little, Joe Lemberg and more. They will be “Ridin Rails for Rims” as the best trick winners in both wakeboard and wakeskate will receive a set of 22” KMC Wheels (their choice) and a custom trophy from Lucky Devil Designs.

“In our continuing effort to grow the sport of wakeboarding by exposing the sport to the masses, we are taking this show on the road to the biggest party of the summer – Spring Break on South Padre Island!” said tour organizer, Bill Geiger.

The Spring Break Slam Rail Jam, presented by Nissan North America, will take place from 2pm-4pm on March 16th and 17th during Texas College week. The rail jam will happen on the beach at the Bahia Mar Resort located at 6300 Padre Boulevard on the North end of the island.

“Due to location and timing (South Padre at Spring Break), this event will definitely be more of a relaxed, fun wakeboard “jam” in front of a great audience then a do-or-die contest.” said Geiger, “but all these guys love to kill it for the crowd and we have some nice incentives for the ones who nail the best tricks!”

In addition to Nissan North America, the Spring Break Slam is made possible with support from the US Navy, Liquid Force Wakeboards, KMC Wheels, Spy Optic, CWB Wakeboards, O’Neill, Straight Line Ropes and Handles, H20 Clothing and Lucky Devil Designs. Media partners include Alliance Wakeboard, WakeBoarding Magazine, the Coastal Current Weekly and KFRQ-FM Radio.
