Wakeboarding gets another shot at primetime on Fuel TV’s Insane Cinema program throughout the month of April. Sure, it’s not a major network, but anytime you can catch someone riding a wakeboard and it’s not part of some cheesy commercial, that’s a good thing for the sport.
So program your DVR if you haven’t already seen this unique film from Sean Kilgus and if you have seen it, make sure you remind all of your buddies that haven’t to check out Fuel TV this month.
The highly acclaimed wakeboard film “The Butter Effect” makes its television premiere during FUEL TV’s Insane Cinema programming block at 9:30 pm ET (6:30 pm PT) April 15, 2007 and will re-air six more times over the next month.
“The Butter Effect,” the wakeboard project from BFY Productions and acclaimed producer Sean Kilgus, is shot entirely on 16mm film. A year in the making, it was filmed on location in some of the most premier and secretive waterways in Florida, Nor Cal, Washington and in a volcanic lake in Mexico. “The Butter Effect” was one of the top wakeboard videos of 2005.
“The Butter Effect” features an A-list roster of wakeboard talent including Danny Harf, Scott Byerly, Andrew Adkison, Rusty Malinoski, Keith Lyman, Aaron Reed, and Brent Starr.

Here’s a brief teaser of The Butter Effect for your enjoyment:
Add The Butter Effect to your personal video library so you can watch it any time you want. You can’t call yourself a real wakeboarder and not have this video on your shelf. It would be like calling yourself a man and not owning a copy of Scarface, or a girl not owning The Notebook (I had to ask my girlfriend for help with that last one, I swear). The point is, head over to Wakeside to pick up a copy right now!
