Danny Harf, the wonder boy from team Ronix has added another industry first to his long list of accomplishments; this time becoming the first rider ever to land a 1260. Armed with a monster wake and his Ronix DHV1 Wakeboard, Harf added another 180 degrees of rotation, for a full 3 and half spins.

In what was perhaps the best kept wakeboarding secret of all-time, Harf swore everyone that witnessed his historic move to secrecy to ensure no one would spill the beans before the Best of Wake Awards Ceremony this past weekend. The result of the successful ninja mission was a mind blowing unveiling that had more than a few riders (especially Rusty Malinoski, who believed he had the award cinched) visibly upset. Of course once the shock wore off, they were just as excited as Danny, showing how close the riders at the top are, even when pushing each other to land new moves.

Congratulations Danny, enjoy being the first rider in history to land a 1260; although someone will inevitably land a 1340, no one can take that away from you!

You remember LA Gear right? They made those shoes all the cool kids wore that had lights in the heel that flashed whenever you took a step? Now you can have your chance at revenge and prove to everyone you're not the dork you were in grade school.

Ronix has released two new boards the DHV1 and CSV1 based on the familiar One and Covin series wakeboards, respectively. And while they didn't actually work with LA Gear on these new wakeboards, Ronix has incorporated a piezo-electric diode that lights up when you hit the wake hard enough.

The new boards feature the same shape as the signature lines they're based on, but make use of a high end "Italian Dark Core" for a lighter and stiffer board. If you currently ride a Ronix One or Covin wakeboard, but wish it weighed just a little less and had more pop, these may be just what you've been waiting for.

Sean Kilgus, BFY Productions, has delivered another masterpiece in DRIVE. This is his follow up film to such titles as Butter Effect, Bent Felix, and Running on Empty. Wake films we all have watched over and over.

The rider line up in this film is ridiculous and includes many of the worlds best. Randall Harris, Rusty Malinoski, Danny Harf, Chad Sharpe, Trevor Hansen, Jimmy Lariche, Ben Greenwood, Gabe Lucas, JD Webb, Jeff McKee, Erik Ruck, and Adam Errington all have sections.

With the number of riders that have landed a 1080 in practice closing in on a half a dozen, Tigé has put $10,080 on the line for the first rider to land three spins at the Tigé Pro-Am.

The potential for a five digit payday for an amateur rider that can pull of The Ten is huge. Sure, the likelihood that a local rider will land the elusive 1080 is small. It's much more realistic to expect a Danny Harf or Rusty Malinoski to walk away with the big check, but even then, that's quite a bonus for an afternoon of work.

If you're in the Pacific Northwest, make plans to check out the Tigé Pro-Am at Blue Lake Park in Portland Oregon. It's a great venue that was cut from the pro wakeboard tour this season for no apparent reason, and is a great place to watch a wakeboarding event.

Few wakeboarders are as deserving of a feature documentary as Rusty Malinoski. From an undiscovered Canadian rider, to an up-and-comer struggling to get a ride with a major manufacturer, Rusty has remained focused and dedicated to his cause.

Of course we all know the result of his determination; the run he's been on for the last 18 months has been nothing short of incredible. From his careful training regimine to his committed work ethic that has resulted in a string of 1080s and a new pro-model from Hyperlite, Rusty is a great reminder of what is possible with dedication.

TheLiquidCircuis.com has what appears to be the first clip of a new documentary that seeks to showcase the hard work Rusty puts into every day as a professional wakeboarder. From the small sample of video, we can also see that the filmmakers have also chosen to include Rusty's group of close friends and fellow wakeboarders, including Danny Harf, in the movie. I think it's safe to say that Danny and Rusty are really pushing eachother right now, as evidenced by shared success when spinning three times. Hopefully the documentary will provide some insight into how they each benefit from a competitive friendship like theirs.

Unfortunately no release information is given, so we'll just have to sit tight until the full film is done.

Check out the preview of Rusty Malinoski's wakeboard documentary after the jump.

With a host of riders, including Danny Harf, Shane Bonifay, Kevin Henshaw and Collin Harrington competing in the warm So Cal weather, it should be a great early spring event. And if the level of riding at the 2007 event is any indication, we can only hope to see a number of "firsts" this year. The event is scheduled for March 26-30, and will take place at the Fred Hall Fishing, Tackle and Boat Show. This is a great chance to see some of the best riders in the world in person, which doesn't often happen that far down in California. If you're in the San Diego area, head over and check out the event in person.

You can read the full press release after the jump.

Yeah, neither had we, but you should check it out. In reality the main purpose is probably just as a marketing tool for Ronix, but it still has some original thoughts from the author, as well as some great pictures taken while Chad is out and about shooting with his buddies.

It's pretty cool to get updates directly from someone as influential as Chad, especially when he's got guys like Danny Harf, Erik Ruck and Jeff McKee, among others stopping for for an impromptu set.

Basically, it boils down to the fact that you should add Chad's blog to your list of places to check out.
