Thomas Olson landed a toeside 900 in the finals to WIN his first BAKES NWI title against defending 2 time Champion Bret V. Everyone who showed up to watch the NWI witnessed a passing of the torch between these long time friends from Gig Harbor. Many folks know that Bret V has been a mentor and significant influence in Thomas Olson’s wake career to this point. Cobian Sandals Steps Up Their Wake Team

Cobian Sandals has upped their wake team with the addition of five well known riders. To their already established, if not minimal team, Cobian has added Mike Schwenne, Erik Lutgert, Austin Hair, Nick Jones and Alex Brown. That completes the team with established riders like Erik Lutgert, wakeskaters Austin Hair as well as those that are up and coming like Nick Jones. Cobian is commited to making a big impression on the wake industry, and their latest round of additions to their pro team proves it. Nick Jones is on a roll of late, finding himself as a key part of both CWB's pro team, and racking up a ton of publicity. Now, this latest issued press release comes from the offices of Malibu Boats as Nick finds himself as a full fledged member of the fastest growing boat team in the industry.

The Kirkland, WA resident now has a new VLX to ride behind at his place in Florida, and you can be sure he'll put this new 2007 model to good use.
