Parks Bonifay has shown more than once than when it comes to athleticism, coordination and down right skill, there are few people that can compete with him when it comes to riding sideways on something that is longer than it is wide. Parks has a long list of "firsts" in his career, including first documented 1080, first double backroll and some would argue first wakeboarder with rockstar status. And although he may be in the midst of redefining his career, this video shows exactly why it would be a mistake to count him out just yet. Parks Bonifay Plots His Comeback… Again

Can he mount another comeback?

Okay, seriously we like Parks as much as the next guy, but this is starting to sound like a Michael Jordan comeback nightmare. How many times can you try to return to the pinnacle of a sport that you helped elevate to where it is, only to have your efforts shot down? Sometimes you just have to know when to say when. For the sake of every person that ever has tried a wakeboard, or ever will for that matter, I hope that PB can reclaim his prestigious place as one of the world's best wakeboarders. He certainly is one of the most talented riders I've ever witnessed ride sideways on a board (wakeskate, wakeboard or other) behind a boat. But for some reason I have a bad taste in my mouth. Maybe it's the numerous career-ending injury's followed by rehab and an attempt to return to the level of riding that gave us the first double half-cab roll, 1080, among many others. I really hope I'm wrong, and TheLiquidCircus.com has a fairly candid interview with Mr. Bonifay regarding what exactly he's focusing on, and just why we shouldn't count him out yet. Murray Gets Airborne With the Bonifay Brothers and Blue Angels

The winners of Parks Bonifay's 2007 Double or Nothing contest got a chance to test the limits of the human stomach when they were invited to go for a ride with the Blue Angels. Red Bull arranged the once in a lifetime ride for Parks, Shaun Murray and Shane Bonifay as an award for capturing various titles at the double up contest they sponsored. Between flight training that included learning how to breath to control the flow of blood through your body, and actual instruction on flying the Angels F/A-18, who wouldn't jump at an opportunity like this? At the end of their separate flights, the three riders were able to compare the G forces they experienced, and of course were pretty pumped about breaking the speed of sound.

"This was the most insane thing I have or will ever experience in my life. All I know is that I finally broke the speed of sound," exclaimed test pilot Parks Bonifay. "I hit 7.4 G's for 9 seconds before my eyes rolled in the back of my head and my body went limp."

After a morning of flying, Parks and his comrades returned the favor by taking their hosts out on Andrew Adkison's X-Star for an afternoon of riding.
