We ran across this interesting video trailer while waisting some time on YouTube the other day. It didn’t receive much publicity in the main media channels, but with some impressive Matrix-style 360 freeze frame shots, it may be worth a look. The film, Refraction from Hydrotherapy films features segments from many of the top riders in the industry.

After over a year in the making, the new RonixWake.com website is finally up for wakeboarders everywhere to view. We’ve known about the Ronix gear and their pro team for a while now, but so far the company has lagged behind in their marketing efforts. The new website has a clean layout and features detailed information about their full line-up of product, as well as their pro team. Having a high quality marketing tool is a key component of promotion in today’s marketplace, and this new website is a welcome addition to the Ronix brand.

Straight Line has long been known for their industry leading ropes, handles and ballast accessories. In addition to pushing the envelope when it comes to R&D, Straight Line is also a wonderful advocate for the industry when it comes to education and awareness.

We happened upon a jackpot of great media on Straight Line’s website and couldn’t resist sharing it with everyone else. In total they’ve got 11 video clips that explain some of the more basic and advanced issues concerning the products they offer. These are some high quality videos that have good educational potential for anyone from a newbie to a seasoned rider.

The word on the street is that Alliance Wakeboarding Magazine will launch a brand new website tomorrow, just in time for Valentine’s Day. AllianceWake.com has always had the most original and true to the sport content, hopefully this new design will make their site easier to navigation. We’d especially love to see some upgrades to the media accessibility side of things, but we’re not picky.

For such a young sport, we’ve long been amazed at the poor quality of websites that many vendors choose to rock. You’d think more energy would be put into this marketing resource for all those connected wakeboarders that embrace technology.

In one of the most comical ripoffs we’ve ever seen, inside or outside the wakeboarding industry, a new e-commerce shop has opened its doors for service. What makes this new shop, WakeAction.com notable is the fact that it looks virtually identical to industry leader and staple Wakeside.com. The similarities are not just skin deep though, after a little more investigation, it appears as though WakeAction has borrowed liberally from other aspects of Wakeside’s design and technology.
